When patients suffer a STEMI, should clinicians revascularize only the culprit lesion or any lesions that the patient has? This has been an ongoing debate for some time in the field. Dr. Spencer King says complete revascularization is a good goal, but it is not necessarily critical – or better for the patient – that all lesions be revascularized immediately after treating the infarct-related vessel.
